Wandering River Recycling, Austin Recycling

Wandering River Recycling is the first SINGLE STREAM recycling pick up service for small & medium sized businesses, apartments, condos and multi-unit retail complexes in Austin that are not served by the city. We also pick up for homes on the edge of Austin with affordable, convenient curbside service. We come to neighborhoods around Oak Hill every other Saturday and West Lake Hills on Thursdays.

Recycling technology has come a very long way. We are the first independent service in Austin to offer Single Stream Recycling Pick Up. NO MORE SORTING! Almost any glass, plastic, metal, or paper can be recycled. It’s safe, sanitary and every little bit helps to reduce the volume of waste that goes to our area's landfills.

We’re not here to preach about the many benefits of recycling to our community or tell you what you should or shouldn’t do, but hey, we think it’s a very important service for you and that’s why we’re here! It just breaks our hearts every time there is a can or bottle on the side of the road or floating in the rivers and lakes we’ve spent our lives enjoying. We’ve travelled all over the world and we have a long way to go on improving our recycling here at home. It’s a blessing to serve and help preserve the beautiful Texas Hill Country that we call home and we want to raise the bar on recycling here and help maintain it as one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

Blanco County is already pulverizing glass to build better roads and create pipe bedding for the growing infrastructure. Recycling and reusing as much as possible really does hold a lot of benefits for all of us, we discover new uses for recycled materials every day. Did you know microfiber fleece is now being woven from recycled milk containers? PVC is being recast into highway barriers for better sound protection for nearby homes. Be a part of it with us!
